What Is ACRI?

The AI-Crawler Reality Index (ACRI) measures how effectively AI systems — including ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude — can crawl, extract, and understand a website's content. Unlike traditional SEO scores that focus on search engine ranking signals, ACRI evaluates the technical factors that determine whether AI crawlers can access and accurately represent your content in their responses.

The score for github.com is calculated across four pillars: Extractability (can crawlers parse the HTML efficiently?), Semantic Structure (are headings, schema, and meta tags well-formed?), Content Integrity (does the page serve the same content to bots and browsers?), and Retrieval Robustness (will RAG systems chunk and cite the content correctly?).

Each signal — token bloat, JavaScript rendering risk, DOM drift, schema coverage, and more — is scored independently and combined into a weighted composite. A higher ACRI score means AI systems are more likely to cite your content accurately and surface it in conversational search results.
